Books change lives. One of the biggest obstacles to literacy is the scarcity of books in the home. In fact, up to two thirds of low-income families own no books for their children to read.
But you could make a difference, just by donating books your family and friends no longer need, and helping them find a new home through our BookSpringRx, BookSpringEd, and BookSpringGo programs. BookSpring works throughout the greater Austin area to collect tens of thousands of books to give to children of low-income families.
We accept donations of new and gently used books year round! For personal service, drop by our offices between 10-4 pm M-F, and we can help you carry boxes. Or, drop smaller donations in our Book Drop anytime. Please call ahead to let us know you are coming: (512) 472-1791 x 102.
It’s easy to set up a book drive at your workplace, school, or just around your neighborhood. BookSpring has all the materials you will need to get started.

The books you collect will be redistributed throughout our community through the ReBook program, which distributes the books to pediatric clinics, schools, and other qualifying organizations that serve children and families who are in need. BookSpring makes sure your books find a good home!
