What to wear when it is hot? Cold? Now may be the time to bring out the winter clothes and pack away some of the summer clothes. While doing so, talk about what makes different items suitable for different weather (this could include the fabric it’s made of, what color it is, sleeve length, etc).
Make a list of things that you like to do when it is hot, like swimming, having a barbeque, playing outside, and things you like to do when it is cold, like drinking hot chocolate, wearing gloves, etc.
Cloud watching – choose a nice day to lie outside and look up at the cloudy sky. What shapes can you see? Are the clouds moving quickly or slowly?

Ways to Move Together

Umbrella toss – open an umbrella outside and turn it upside down. Use crumpled paper, pairs of socks or beanbags and see how many you can throw into the umbrella. Try from further and further away – from how far away can you still get it into the umbrella?

Reflection Prompts: Reflect on what you read and what you did at the end of the week.

Did you notice anything new about the weather – how is it changing?
Did you learn any new words?
