Get books mailed directly to your home.

Families living with one or more children age 12 and under who own less than 20 children’s books can apply to get FREE books mailed directly to your home. Please apply if you need books at home and agree to read aloud with your children at least once a day. Your family is eligible at this time if you live in Central Texas.

Your application will be prioritized if you qualify for any of the following programs:

The Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program, Woman, Infant and Children (WIC), Texas Unemployment Compensation, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Section 8 (HCV) or other Housing Assistance.

If you do not qualify for these programs, you may still apply, and we may be able to send you books anyway.

What does BookSpring Direct provide?

Families will receive a package of books and materials and activities designed to enhance reading motivation and interest. Parents and caregivers are invited to opt into weekly BookSpring text messages for tips, downloadable books, and other free resources to promote reading at home.

How do I apply?

You can call (844) 368-9651 to request books, or you can apply online. Please do not complete the form more than once – if you need to change/update the information, please email or call us. Access the application below.

Supplies are limited, and not all applications will be able to be filled. You can reapply once every three months and receive books up to twice per year.
