Where is BookSpring located? 

Our headquarters is at 1807 W. Slaughter Ln Bldg #1, Austin, TX 78748 in the Market at Slaughter Creek.  Be sure to look for our signs, we are a stand alone building, not part of the shopping center, to the East side of the center.  We also operate a warehouse at 1130 Rutherford Lane, # 190 in Austin, where we host volunteer book sorting activities.

Who does BookSpring serve?

BookSpring offers a continuum of literacy programs designed to build early literacy in children from birth through age 12. We primarily serve low-income children and families considered at least 70% economically disadvantaged.

Who does BookSpring partner with?

BookSpring partners with healthcare providers (Rx)educators (Ed), and community organizations (Go) to reach children and families.

How do I volunteer?

Do you accept monetary donations? 

We accept monetary donations, planned giving and legacy gifts, and endowment gifts through Austin Community Foundation. For more information on the impact of your gift, click here.

What percentage of a donation goes directly to program costs?

$0.73 of every dollar goes directly to program costs. To access our Financials and Annual Reports, click here.

Do you accept donated books?

Yes, we accept children’s books for children ages 0-12, in English, Spanish, and other languages, including board books, picture books, chapter books, and young adult books. The books should be clean, in good condition, free of stickers, and not dated.  We ask that you organize your donations as a Book Drive and ask your friends, neighbors, church, office or school to join in the fun!  Contact us in advance for details, and we’ll help promote and celebrate your efforts on social media.  We suggest that if you have donations of items that aren’t perfect for all children ages birth to age 12, you consider donating to the Inside Book Project or Recycled Reads.
