Get books directly to your home
Your family can apply to get books mailed directly to your home! We believe the key to success is families reading together at home twice a day. Families with children 12 and under experiencing economic hardship will be prioritized.
What does BookSpring Direct provide?
You will receive a package of gently used books and materials and activities designed to enhance the motivation and interest in reading. You are also invited to opt into weekly text messages for tips, downloadable books, and other free resources to promote reading at home.
Does my family qualify for BookSpring Direct?
Your family is eligible at this time if you live in Central Texas and have children 12 and under. If you qualify for any of the following programs your application will be prioritized.
If you or your child is currently receiving or qualify for The Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program, Woman, Infant and Children (WIC), Texas Unemployment Compensation, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Section 8 (HCV) or other Housing Assistance.
