Being a Book Hero

Submitted by: Austin Tharp, BookSpring Book Hero

It all started when Mrs. Ayres, my after-school art teacher at Doss, told me about the BookSpring drawing contest. I drew a drawing, thinking my chances were one in a million. A week or so later, we got a call. Mom said, “Austin, guess what?!!! You won! The BookSpring drawing contest… you WON!”

The next day I remember telling my friends that I’d won. I felt so proud. It’s just a really good feeling. Now when I see people wearing “my” shirt, I just want to walk up to them and tell them that I designed that shirt!

Good luck to this year’s winner and to everyone entering the contest!
