Weekly Themes #46 Friendship | Amistad for 6-8 year olds

A friend is someone who stands up for you, who makes you laugh, and who shares their things with you.  A friend makes your sad days happier and pulls your feet back down when your head is in the clouds.  Friends are someone who helps you when you are in need, and you would help them anytime they call.

Things to Do Together

Talk: Who are your friends? What do you like about your friends?

Write: Write a note to a friend! It could be a drawing, a text message, an email, or a letter you give or send. But try to think of kind words to say to a friend and share them with that special person!

Play: Play the “The things I love” game. Take a minute to go around your house with your family or friends, find five things you love, and explain each of them to your friend. You can do this online with a friend over video chat if you want to! More instructions here

Share a story with PBS Kids: “FRIENDSHIP.”

Share Together

At the end of the week, reflect on what you read and what you did.
