Things to Do Together

Talk: Talk about love! What are some things you love to do? Who are some people in your life that you love? Why do you love them?

Write: Make a Valentine’s Day card for someone! You can write it to someone in your family, your household, your neighbor, a friend, or even the postal worker that collects your mail. Valentine’s day cards are a great way to communicate your feelings of gratitude, kindness, and love to another person.

Move: Do a random act of kindness together! Clean a room of your house, rake some leaves for your neighbor or say some kind words to someone you meet this week.

Another movement idea is to have a Valentine’s Day family dance party where everyone gets to pick a song for the whole family to enjoy.

Create: make Valentine’s day meal or food! Think of red and/or pink foods, and then think if you could create a menu of just those foods. If you have red food coloring, you can also turn all sorts of colors pink and red.

Share Together

At the end of the week, reflect on what you read, and what you did.

How do I like to send and receive love?
What was my favorite book I read this week with someone I care about?
