Things to Do Together

Historias para escuchar juntos…

  • Build/design your own castle using construction toys or cardboard boxes – use your imagination!
  • Make your own fire-breathing dragon – use the cardboard roll from inside a roll of toilet paper. Tape lengths of streamer or other soft paper around one end. When you blow through the tube, the streamers will billow like flames.
  • Jack and the Beanstalk – grow your own beans by placing them between two sheets of paper towel and keeping it moist. Put this on a windowsill and make sure you water a little every day!
  • Share any fairy tales that you know – telling stories is a great way to interact and introduce your child to new vocabulary.
  • Make up your own fairy tale – if you need help, choose objects from around the house and try to incorporate them into your story.

Share Together

At the end of the week, reflect on what you read and what you did.

  • Which was your favorite fairy tale? Why?
  • Which was your least favorite? Why?
