Whether you are an educator looking for online learning solutions, or a parent looking for ways of keeping your little ones engaged, or someone who cares about children having uninterrupted access to reading resources even during school closures – we are here to support you.

Luckily, many education platforms are offering FREE access to online learning, as we adapt to new routines while dealing with the challenges posed by sheltering in place. We want to ensure educators and parents and caregivers know about these resources available for all ages.

100+FREE Video Read Alouds– Access 100 video read alouds from old classics like Where the Wild Things Are to newer favorites like Little Jumbo.

RazKids- An award-winning website where K-5 students go to read — anytime, anywhere!

* The Fable Cottage– Bilingual tales available in Spanish, French, German, and Italian

*The Spanish Experiment– Access Spanish lessons and stories online.

Storyonline– Celebrity read alouds! Parents can turn on captions so kids can see the words as the actors read the stories.

*Audible– Kids can stream a collection of stories across six different languages for FREE.

*Read Conmigo– Signup for FREE access to downloadable books and activities for parents, caregivers, and educators.

Please be sure to also check out our FREE digital books through Unite for Literacy. Topics range from nature, health, family, and community helpers best for children ages 3 to 8.

Downloadable books are also available for FREE thanks to Storyweaver. These are diverse and multicultural stories from all over the world!

Interactive Activities 

Common Sense Media– Help Your Family De-Stress During Coronavirus Uncertainty

Caribu– This app allows family members to read and draw through video chats. FREE and UNLIMITED access is currently available.

PBS Kids– For kids ages 2 to 8, there are multiple games and videos ranging from literacy to STEM topics available via the app.

Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems– Check out this YouTube series where children can draw, doodle, and explore new ways of writing with the author of the Pigeon book series.

Crash Course Kids– Fun educational videos available on YouTube!

National Geographic Kids– Great educational videos and games ranging in science and history topics.

BrainPop–  You can request free access to products for all ages for 30 days. Website available in Spanish.

Fun Brain– Reading and Math games for students in Pre-K to 8th grade.

Wonderpolis– Engaging activities, videos, and read aloud options for immersive learning activities.

Super Simple– Resource section includes free flashcards, coloring pages, worksheets, and other resources for children, teachers, and parents

Starfall– Appropriate for students in Kinder to 3rd grade to help them build their phonic skills.

Scholastic– Lessons for students in Pre-K to 6th grade available each day on a different topic.
