Austin Reads Aloud with BookSpring

Councilwoman Ora Houston loved her time at Houston Elementary!

For the second year in a row, BookSpring is reaching out to area business and civic leaders to promote the value of reading for all children on November 18, 2016. Spanning the entire Greater Austin area, schools will host guest readers at their libraries and share reflections on the power of reading to change lives.

In 2015, more than 40 local ‘celebrities’ read aloud at Austin area schools! We are currently signing up celebrity readers and schools for this year’s event. Email amanda.brawner@bookspring.org with any questions, reader suggestions, or schools to host. Media contact Mariela Rodriguez at mariela.rodriguez@bookspring.org.
