Art Contest

This year’s art contest is now closed. Please come back in May 2018 for next year’s contest.

Calling all young artists for the
2018 Read-A-Thon Logo!

Show us what you’ve got!

Each year we hold a city-wide art contest to select a theme-inspired logo. The winning artwork is used on all printed materials including hundreds of posters, thousands of campaign t-shirts, more than 20,000 student and teacher envelopes as well as online advertising, website, and social media efforts for the year’s campaign.

The 2018 theme is Olympic Readers and we are taking submissions from now to October 2017!

You can download forms and instructions here:

One semi-finalist will be selected from each participating school and the winning artwork will be selected from the semi-finalists.

Who can participate:

  • elementary and middle school students
  • all students can enter regardless of whether their school is participating in the Read‐A‐Thon

Color and material choice are left to the teacher/student and all artwork is submitted on plain, white, 8.5 inch x 11 inch paper.

The winners of the 2017 Read-A-Thon Logo Art Contest were…
