Amplify Austin 2017 – Jumpstart our Van!
Mark your calendars: March 2-March 3!
Or, donate NOW and and help us….
Jumpstart our van!
After 15 years of steady use, it is time to say goodbye to the old 2002 model BookSpring van. We need something more reliable to fulfill our ongoing mission to build home libraries for the benefit of young children.
Getting both new and gently used books to our partners is essential to our mission. We supply over 150 partners throughout Central Texas each year. We need a reliable vehicle to supplement the shipping and pick ups and drop offs that make our books flow. This van helps us reach partners within a 100 mile radius of Austin, who might not otherwise have access to these wonderful books.
Your gifts will match $10,000 in contributions already secured from the Lola Wright Foundation plus an additional matching pledge from Rotary in Austin. Help us reach our target goal of $33,000 for the ideal van for our needs, a 3/4 ton cargo van. Every dollar you contribute helps us get one step further towards this goal.
While any gift is welcome if you sponsor our van operations with an investment of $5,000, you will be eligible for a valuable cross promotional opportunity. We will feature your company’s full color logo in the BookSpring van wrap design. Take advantage of the Greater Austin area’s heavy traffic and reach thousands of commuters daily with your logo impression! Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about this opportunity.
BookSpring is a proud participant in this homegrown crowdfunding extravaganza.
When you give to BookSpring through Amplify Austin, you’re supporting the purchase of a new van that will provide the capacity needed for deliveries to achieve our 20 by 2020 goal.
BookSpring provides new books and reading programs to more than 40,000 children and parents. Over 140,000 books are distributed. We aim to double our reach by 2020 to serve 79,000 children under the age of 12. Using reasearch-based approaches we strive to:
- improve early language development in infants and toddlers
- increase their motivation to read
- improve reading scores in school-age children
- increase the frequency and comfort of reading aloud between adults and children
Give now and help drive our mission – literally! With a new cargo van!
