Sarah: Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book
What was it about this book that made it special to you?
Sarah: I have great memories of my mother reading it to my brother and me at bedtime. I loved the rhymes and the interesting, imaginative illustrations. I also loved spending that time at the end of the day with my mother.
Who was your favorite character?
Sarah: Hmmm… that’s tough, probably the Foona-Lagoona Baboona 😜
What was the overall lesson or theme from the book?
Sarah: It’s time to go to sleep!
How did it change your life for the better?
Sarah: Having my mother spend quality time reading to me definitely gave me priceless memories. It also helped instill in me a love of reading and books in general.
What would you say to a parent who says they don’t have time to read together with their kids?
Sarah: Reading to your children is one of the absolute best things you can do to both nurture your relationship with them and ensure that they become good readers and successful students. The time you spend reading with your kids will have a huge, indelible impact on their lives.
