Austin Allies was formed in November 2016 as a way for families to come together and give back to their community. The volunteer group strives to raise awareness in the community for the non-profits they support.
The Allies collected over 1,200 books for BookSpring at their family book drive and bookmark making event, at Cane Rosso Austin on April 9. The group did not stop there!
On Saturday, April 29, the Allies had their first family volunteer event with BookSpring. It was a huge success with over 20 members sorting thousands of Rebooks at the newly-expanded BookSpring office. Thanks to their hard work the books will continue to make it into the hands of families across Central Texas!
Volunteers are always needed to help sort and label our ReBook inventory before books are distributed. The ReBook program serves over 100 community partners ranging from low income schools, clinics, and other nonprofit partners.
