Pattern People brings words and concepts to life

BookSpring is proud to be partnering with Pollyanna Theatre Company to present Pattern People, January 23 – 31, 2016 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. This new play for young audiences, written by our very own Emily Ball Cicchini, explores a day in the life of two very different single parent families, as they negotiate the patterns of life and relationships in the big city. Join Ash Cyan, Bailey Magenta (played by Aaron Alexander, pictured above), Casey Yellow, and Drew Key as they navigate the first day of school, monkeys and gorillas at a zoo, after-care, video games, moving days, and spaghetti dinners for two or four. Best for ages 4 and up.

In addition, Pollyanna and BookSpring teamed up together to bring two groups of four year olds from our partner Child Inc to come see the play, with the generous support of a grant from Rackspace. The children will see the play and receive a Books for Me distribution of books that relate directly to the play, as well as adult readers to help activate their pre-literacy conceptual skills.

We’re proud to bring language to life through the gift of theatre and high-quality, developmentally appropriate books to keep for some of our youngest growing readers!
