BookSpring Announces Top School for 2011 Read-A-Thon

Bridge Point Elementary awarded Reading Trophy recognizing students who raised over $24,000 and read 381,000 pages during 2011 BookSpring Read-A-Thon

On Tuesday March 22, BookSpring Executive Director, Mary Gatlin Hearon presented the traveling trophy to Bridge Point principal Brad Wirht with the help of Eanes Superintendent Dr. Nola Wellman and Board Trustee Ellen Balthazar.

As many of you know, Gullett Elementary has been the home of the Traveling Trophy now for the past five years ever since RIF began recognizing a school as a top fundraiser. Making the call to Kay Gooch was not easy but as expected Kay was very gracious and happy to see the competition building for future Read-A-Thons!

Congratulations to Bridge Point and to Gullett Elementary who raised over $19,000 in the 2011 Read-A-Thon!
